Welcome to our Parish Home

We are so pleased that you have been able to pluck our website out of thin air. If you are far away, we are glad to make you our guest as you look through this website. If you live close by, it is our hope that you will be inspired to visit our lively and growing community of faith.

If you are not used to Anglican worship, don't worry. It is rather like learning to dance. The time soon comes when you don't worry about standing, kneeling, sitting, or which page we are on. Once the dance of worship is mastered, a new and wonderful world opens up. One gets used to being brushed by angels' wings.

Although we don't a have a full-time priest right now,if you need to talk to a priest, call the church office and we'll help you get in touch.

Enjoy this website. We exist for you.

Blessings,

The Church family of St. Thomas a Becket

Children's Ministries

Tuesday, Nov 30th 1999 - Jeanne Elmes

Aurie Acciavatti has just submitted her "Children's Ministries" report to the Diocesan Office for inclusion in the Koinonia newsletter.  The report is available in our "Downloads" section of the website.  Also available, as described in the report, a pdf copy of the custom Advent Calendar 2007, created just for our Sunday school children by Aurie and Jeanne Elmes.  Have a look in "Downloads"!

OUTREACH

Tuesday, Nov 30th 1999 - Jeanne Elmes

Items now being collected for our Outreach projects:

1.  Summer Food Collection for Scott's Run Settlement House:  please bring all non-perishable food to church by July 20.  Thank you!

2.   Outreach is now collecting "gently used" or new towels for Bartlett House.  This is an ongoing need for the shelter. A laundry basket will be available in the parish hall for the collection.

3.  The Sunday school children will once again be collecting backpacks during the summer for next fall's Scott's Run school supply giveaway program.  Please leave donations of backpacks on the Sunday school counter at any time.  The goal this year is 100 backpacks.  At this time we have 8 backpacks.

 4.   Individuals are needed to provide labor at a Habitat house site on July 19th from 9:00am -12noon as part of the Becket work crew.  Contact Kathy Fedan for info—  304 864-0105.
