Dear Parish Family and Friends,

Stewardship Ingathering Scheduled for Sunday, December 3rd.  As you celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, please include a prayer of thanks for St. Thomas a Becket Episcopal Church and its mission and ministries.  Stewardship information and pledge forms were distributed last week.  As the Vestry so aptly expressed in the accompanying letter, please consider how you can support our parish home and what you can do to make it the church we pray for.  We ask that you please return your pledge forms on Ingathering Sunday, December 3rd, or to the church office.

Our parents, Duane and Tiffany, have six children. Demetrius, the oldest, is 13. Jayden, 11 years old, is the only girl. Jayontae is nine, Terrance is six, Kameryn is two, and Jayceon, the youngest, is three months old.  We will provide Christmas dinner for the family along with gifts for everyone.  The Angel Tree with gift tags will be set up for the next two Sundays, November 26th and December 3rdAs in past years, we will have a quick turn-around.

All gifts must be brought to Church by the beginning of the 10:30 am service on Sunday, December 10th.  If purchasing clothes or shoes, please include a gift receipt in the event the gift needs to be returned for a different size.  Please attach the gift tag selected from the tree to your gift, and as always, gifts are to be brought in unwrapped.  There will be instructions by the Angel Tree and a separate signup sheet for each family member. The Sunday School children are collecting hats, coats and gloves for those in need as their November outreach project. Next time you are at the store shopping for the holidays pick up something extra and help the Sunday School keep others warm this winter!  Any items brought in may be left on the table in the Sunday School room.  If you have any questions please contact Sally Tolka at



Since the last Sunday in advent is also Christmas Eve we will start this Sunday taking donations toward decorating the church for Christmas with poinsettias.  Please sign up on the form on the table in the Narthex.  The cost is $20.  We will be taking donations and dedications for the Christmas bulletins up until December 17.  These dedications can be in memory or thanksgiving of a love one or Envelopes will be provided by the sign-up sheets or you can place it in the Sunday collection plate.  If you write a check, please note “Christmas Decorations” in the memo line.  Thank you for helping to beautify our church for the holiday!



The 2017 -2018 Becket Arts season will begin on Sunday, Dec. 3 at 3:00 p.m.  A reception will follow in the Parish Hall and tickets will be available at the door.  Tickets will be available at the door.  Tickets are $60.00 for season tickets, $8.00 for a single ticket, and $6.00 for seniors, and free for students.



Reminder:  Names on the Continuing Concern list will appear in alphabetically divided groups throughout the month.
